Appointment Cancellation Policy
Bracknell
48 hour cancellation policy for appointments
At Warwick House Dental Surgery, we highly value your time and are committed to providing outstanding care to all our patients. While we understand that changes to your schedule may be necessary, we kindly request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice (2 working days) for any cancellations or appointment adjustments.
We send reminders three days prior to your appointment to help you remember, recognising how easily appointments booked months ago can slip from memory. Your appointment is reserved exclusively for you, and last-minute cancellations prevent us from offering that time slot to other patients in need of care.
Cancellation fees
If a cancellation occurs without at least 48 hours notice (2 working days), or if you fail to attend your appointment, a cancellation fee will be applied. The upfront deposit paid will be retained, and a new deposit will be required when rescheduling.
For your first short-notice cancellation, we may choose to waive the cancellation fee, depending on the circumstances.
Patients consistently cancelling appointments at short notice may be required to pay the full fee upfront for future appointments.
Appointments made within a 24-hour period require cancellations at least 4 hours prior to the appointment time. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of your deposit.
Our cancellation policy ensures appointment slots can be offered to patients on our waiting list and helps us maintain a full schedule for our clinicians. We appreciate your understanding and support of our policies as we strive to provide exceptional service to all our patients. Thank you for adhering to our criteria.
NHS Appointment
Although missed NHS appointments cannot be charged for, we have a very firm policy regarding non-attendance. Patients who fail to attend two NHS dental appointments are unlikely to be offered any further appointments in line with NHS regulations (missed appointments do not have to be consecutive). While dental surgeries cannot charge you for not turning up, NHS England has the right to ask you to find another dental surgery if you continue to miss appointments (What happens when you visit an NHS dentist, 2021) If you miss an NHS appointment and do not attend again within 24 months, we may not be able to see you again. If you are new patient and fail to attend your first appointment, without 48 hours notice, no further NHS appointments will be offered.
